README.TXT for Wintune 2.0, update #2
WinMag CD June 1995
By the time you read this, update #3 should available at our
download sites on Compuserve, America Online, and ftp.std.com.
See WMCDFAQ.TXT in the root directory of this CD-ROM for download
information.
If you use a third-party disk cache, have a caching disk adapter
with onboard RAM, or are running OS/2, Windows NT, or Windows 95,
see the instructions in WMCDFAQ.TXT on setting cache size
manually with the /c switch.
If you have any trouble installing Wintune, read through
WMCDFAQ.TXT, which includes solutions to the most common
problems, as well as instructions on getting technical support.
***
A few users have reported getting the error message "Cannot load
DLL" when they tried to install Wintune from our last CD. We are
still investigating the problem, but in the meantime here are
several alternative methods of installing Wintune you can try:
1. Click on the icon on the Wintune page of Welcome to Windows
Magazine CD.
2. Open File Manager, click on the CD-ROM drive icon, open the
directory WT20, and double-click on SETUP.EXE.
3. Follow the instructions in the "SETUP: Manual Installation"
section of WMCDFAQ.TXT.
